Cons

Increased support from software manufacturers

Support is the key difference between products. The Scale solution is a great product with a ton of smart people developing the solution with innovative forward thinking strategies to supply an alternative to the traditional products. With all that goes into the design we just want it to work, and the ability to call and get someone without delay who is close to the development of the product is paramount. This company separates themselves by following up and ensuring you are satisfied.

VMWare Licensing in itself along with NOT using VEEAM has provided huge savings to our bottom line

Alternatives Considered

VxRail, SimpliVity OmniCube and Nutanix Acropolis

We chose Scale because of the people first, and the product second. The desire to truly want our business and the commitment to be hands on in our deployment was a huge factor. The product also is a much less expensive solution to the others I mentioned but packed with features.

Likelihood to Recommend

I believe Scale Computing Hc3 is supported from SMB to SME, and possibly even larger. We have 99% of our workloads migrated to the Scale solution but there are a couple that only support VMWare, and mainly because they have no reason to support another solution at this time. That will continue to change. The solution works extremely well.
