Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Scale Computing HC3 is being used across the whole organization. The solution hosts various VMs that support the business processes like email, ERP, file serving, etc.

A key feature of HC3 that our business is banking heavily on is backup and disaster recovery.

Dismounting cloned snapshots is rather involved

Support Rating

Coming from a traditional infrastructure experience and not really being a server guru, I relied heavily on Scale's technical support in building our IT infrastructure. The whole experience, while initially daunting, was not as painful as I thought it would be. The vibe you get is positive.

Superior DR position with interconnectivity of clusters from three locations
Reduced anxiety from ransomware
CAPEX is priced higher than traditional solution but offset by its stability and ease of management, allowing myself to contribute more toward other business processes

Likelihood to Recommend

Expectation for IT is high regardless of whether you have a full deck or a one-man crew and I fall under the latter category. Having a HC3 solution allows me to focus on other IT services like application development, ERP management, helpdesk, even website management without worrying much about the state and performance of your servers. The system is just solid and reliable. Of course, I have just entered the first year of its commission but based on what I've seen so far, I believe that I have the best system that helps in delivery of IT services for the company.

If I were to sum up my experience after I implemented Scale Computing HC3, I would say that I sleep much better than before I had it.
