Overall Satisfaction with Sigma Computing
In our organization, we use Sigma for external users, we create and embed dashboards in our application.
We try to replace all our existing tabular reporting with Sigma's new good-looking workbooks. For this we have set up a new warehouse, which is directly used by Sigma for presenting production data.

- Support
- Ease of use
- Embedding
- Visualizations
- Tabular reports
- Customization
- Increased customer satisfaction
- Improved self-service for business users
- Overall Increased Costs (Sigma, additional Warehouse, etc)
As we use Sigma for external users, currently we do not have enough feedback from them and can not evaluate if those dashboards had a big impact for them in analyzing data. It has couple of month since we implemented our first dashboard and feedbacks are quite good, they like ease of exploring data.
I could not say that Sigma Computing had impact on this for me. Because I mostly had ready database scripts which I used for creating dashboards. And there was no need for ad hoc analyses. But if I had this kind of experience, I think Sigma would have done good job.
- Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer (discontinued)
I think overall Sigma Computing is much better tool for Oracle Business Intelligence. It has newer feel and look, it is lighter and easier to use. There might be some complex areas where OBI does a better job, but overall I prefer using Sigma Computing. Especially for small sized companies.
