Overall Satisfaction

  • Marrying multi-channel reporting.
  • Not looking at email analytics in a vacuum.
  • Interface is simple.
  • Clunky interface.
  • List segmentation not as robust as other tools.
  • Not as used as other platforms, harder to train employees.
  • More insight - more testing - more optimizations
  • Making a case for social
I prefer ExactTarget because of familiarity and list segmentation tools. I would consider Silverpop again, if I knew the product features I use the most have been improved upon greatly. I do like the social analytics and some of the additional reporting tools, definitely. I would consider it - I'm not currently in charge of email marketing anymore.
It depends on their needs - always asking about specific functionality or campaigns you would like to run on a normal basis, but also some wilder ideas that may have been in the works. Because of list management always ensuring your platform integrates seamlessly into wherever you are storing user data (CRMs).
