Overall Satisfaction with Slack
We use Slack for all of us to communicate, collaborate, and stay updated on pushes from our Git repository. It's been useful to send data to and notify us on a regular basis so that we are all on the same page. Everybody currently uses it at our company but a majority of the posts come from our software engineers.
- The ability to search ALL messages and files with it's powerful search bar.
- The integrations that are possible with their API, creating endless bots that can be of useful to companies.
- Being able to share files inside this application quickly and swiftly with the team.
- Easier video/conference chat calls
- Drop in/out voice channel like Discord
- More customization to make it feel more comfortable for each workplace
- It's starting package is free for up to 10,000 messages so there is no cost risk to starting implementation of it.
- It's allowed us to be more collaborative and keep each other on the same page during work, meaning less time wasted trying to figure out tasks.
- Being able to get notifications about pushes allows us to keep up to date on all information, overall reducing our idle time waiting on each other.
