Overall Satisfaction with Slido

Slido is a lightweight support tool to make your presentations more interactive with Q&A, polls and ideation. It works with any presentation software you use, such as Google Slides, MS PowerPoint or OSx Keynote. You are able to create a session in Slide securely and share the QR code/link with the participants. In the free version of Slido, your participants can add challenges, questions and ideas before or during the session. They are also able to participate in a limited number of polls.

Pros

  • Polls during presentations
  • Managing questions & answers
  • Capturing challenges or ideas from participants

Cons

  • Free version is limited
  • Presenter-facing interface could improve on UX
  • Roll-out of new features could be more frequent and regular
  • Slido can make your presentations look more interactive
  • Slido helps making slides more engaging and stories more compelling
  • Slido adds new features on a continues basis, such as ideation
I haven't evaluated other competitors, as I have seen Slido in action at an event and I was immediately hooked. That being said, I should bee looking at Slido's competitors, just to do my due diligence and ensure I'm familiar with the market landscape. I'm satisfied so far with what Slido's offering.

I use Slido as a sidekick to my presentation software such as Google Slides. It's easy to add the Slido plugin to Slides, and share the QR code with the participants of my event. Audiences love being engaged during a workshop or training session, so Slido does exactly that, it provides and opportunity for them to interact with the content and the presenter by asking questions, participating in polls or sharing their ideas. Typical use cases for Slido in my work: 1. Workshop or training session 2. Pitch session 3. Expert speech session/talk

Cisco Hybrid Work

  • Working from anywhere (e.g., coffee shop, airport)
I have been working remotely for many years, and Slido was invaluable to accompany online workshops and presentation sessions. I use various other tools as well, and it's an ongoing process. Implementation of remote tools is usually fast and easy. I prioritise the free versions of these tools to evaluate them.
