Overall Satisfaction with Smartlook
I use Smartlook as the CTO and its also used by our marketing manager, product manager, and UX designer.
We use Smartlook to get feedback on how users use our features - both existing and new ones. By seeing how they interact with our site, we can determine what features what well, what needs improvement and which ones flat out don't work!

Pros
- Captures all user interaction, even those who are only on the platform momentarily.
- Allows us to tie user interaction with real users who use our platform. We can then reach out to important users who we think might need help.
- Heatmaps are really useful to determine what improvements we can make to the UX layout.
Cons
- Additional analytics could be useful - Reports on aggregated data such as where users come from, what tools they use, what pages on our site are most popular, etc.
- Able to get immediate feedback from users indirectly. By seeing how they interact with your site, you get very valuable feedback without having to reach out to everyone. Great value for the price.
We're going for Smartlook for its ability to tie recorded users with your own user database. This is invaluable when trying to monitor important user interaction, and helps when diagnosing issues raised by these users.
