Overall Satisfaction with SmartRecruiters
SmartRecruiters is being used across the entire organization. It addresses the business problem of having an applicant tracking system for recruiting. It is there to make sure that all candidates are being viewed through one system. It makes it easier for hiring managers and recruiters to collaborate. It's easy to advertise jobs on job boards and through other social recruiting tools.
- Good at getting all of the applicant information in one place - emails, ratings from managers, applicant data, etc.
- Good at continually trying to update the product and providing information to their customers on new features.
- Good at using modern techniques such as hash tags and @ symbol to track in the tool.
- Seems to be working more to expand their client base than improve some core features of the product - this is frustrating for current users.
- You can only change the candidate status in the profile - you cannot do this in bulk for many applicants at once. This means it is very hard to keep accurate metrics of where candidates are in stages. SmartRecruiters talks a lot about candidate analytics and this is a core part of having accurate analytics.
- No useful search function. There is no way to search the database of candidates that have already applied. This is very frustrating and makes it harder to recruit. Past applicants may be great for future jobs.
- We have been able to get more candidates to apply to reqs compared to the prior ATS we had. This is very good.
- Its been easier to work with hiring managers through the tool. Notes and other details are captured on a candidate profile easier than last system. This is helpful.
- We feel we are working with a product that is continually trying to improve vs. stay stagnant. That is good to know.
SmartRecruiters is definitely better than Taleo. I would put it as slightly below Jobvite. We still need to use Jobvite for scheduling since SmartRecruters' tool does not work. I think in a few years SmartRecruiters may surpass Jobvite. However right now because you can search past candidates on Jobvite and we need to use it for scheduling I would choose Jobvite vs. SmartRecruiters.
