Overall Satisfaction with Smartsheet
We use Smartsheet to create schedules for various construction projects. We create both detailed construction activity schedules as well as more high-level milestone schedules. We also create hot-lists, to-do lists, AR logs, clash management logs, and a variety of other logs/lists/projects that we can easily access online and link together.

- Link different schedules back to a master schedule
- Easy to share with others for access
- Collaboration
- Add more of the features that Primavera/Microsoft Project has - more logic/complex logic for complex projects
- Resource loading
- Customize the dates that a schedule classifies as working days. There are only 2 options currently - weekends or select dates, but you cant do both
- Customize the look of the bar chart - add wording, colors, etc
- Ease of sharing ability with others
- Collaboration
- Can link projects together easily
- Proper schedule tracking keeps projects on track
- Notify owners of schedule changes
- Allowed us to track who is responsible for what
Smartsheet is much easier to collaborate on than Microsoft or Primavera in terms of scheduling software, but lacks the customizability of its competitors. You can also much easier link projects together when master scheduling which is a huge advantage compared to Microsoft project or primavera. Those two programs would be the biggest competitors and do not have that feature or at least its not as easy to use.
