Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor

We use SolarWinds NPM to monitor all network hardware on our campus. It helps us to see when devices are down, or may be experiencing issues which may cause them to eventually fail.

We used to have Intermapper monitoring our network. SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor has so many more functions that help us keep tabs on our environment. On top of that, we are able to monitor our wireless environment, which we were not able to do with Intermapper. It has really made it easier for our daily work.
It is well suited to monitor network devices and servers. We have more than 200 network switches in our environment as well as 300 wireless access points. It helps us to keep tabs on all of that in one location. When there has been an outage that affect multiple areas of the campus, it allows us to see what the root of the problem is.
