Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
We use it organization-wide to monitor our infrastructure and network equipment in addition to NTA. It helps us to know the traffic over the network and when we have issues with devices, including power outages.
- Monitor network devices using SNMP.
- Automatically discovers new devices on the network using a auto discovery.
- Monitors critical Servers using WMI.
- Network templates per device model.
- CLI integration with devices.
- Pre-build scripts that can help customers to configure some network configurations that SolarWinds uses in order to monitor network devices.
- Positive, now we know all the little details of what's happening on our network.
- We don't rely on a 3rd party organization to monitor our equipment.
- We can provide reports to prove cases and see the network traffic in real-time.
You need a basic understanding of networking of course, but it is very easy to set up, clustering, HA, very well organized GUI. As opposed to the other guys, they are complex and GUIs are clunky.
