Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor
SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor (SAM) is used by IT to monitor our system that provides the services to the business. With having a non-profit budget (and personnel can be tight) as well as being in retail the need to be able to bring money is in critical. With SAM we are able to monitor our services that allow us to continue business. With what SAM can do for us we are able to monitor everything with little interaction.

- Application alerting
- Adding new features
- Setup can take time.
- Some settings are difficult to find if you don't spend a lot of time in the system.
- There are a lot of templates which is good and bad, writing your own takes knowledge not all have.
- Keep staff count down since it handles all our monitoring and capacity information
- 2 System Administrators and 200+ servers
You get a lot more features and capability. I have had SolarWinds from day one at this job and have not done much research into other products, no need to.
