Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor

SolarWinds is being used by our department to monitor the organization. IT addresses the need to monitor devices and network traffic and does a good job.

Pros

  • Monitoring support for over 600 devices in our company and the ability to create custom monitors to support any application or server. It also provides customized alerting and event triggers.

Cons

  • Sometimes we have issues with it loading slowly or can't get in.
  • Application downtime was reduced by 50% and found issues fast using SAM. SAM monitors the availability and performance of applications and server infrastructure, providing you with key health metrics that help you improve service reliability.
SolarWinds is much faster and outperforms competitors from my use and experience.
It's great to monitor servers and computers. I can't say it does not have a need, really.
