Overall Satisfaction with Tableau Cloud

We just recently switched to Tableau Cloud for our organization-wide reporting. Tableau Cloud has allowed to create various reports and utilized data from multiple data sources throughout our organization. We can easily create reports, add visuals and share reports to our end users. It is very easy to set permissions and create user groups to allow reports to be viewed by certain users.

Pros

  • Easy to connect to multiple data sources
  • Easy to share reports between users
  • Add dashboards and visuals to reports
  • Moble app to access reports on your phone

Cons

  • Need experience with coding language and writing queries in order to design reports
  • Expensive, cost based on total number of licenses
  • Easily share reports between users to save time
  • Real-time view of data (ticket sales, food & beverage sales, parternship revenue)
  • Reliance that data is accurate
Tableau Cloud has been a great reporting tool so far and has helped us provide useful and accurate reports to users throughout our organization. We have been able to successfully connect to multiple data sources to ingrate the data timely and accurately. Tableau Cloud does not have the predictive AI capabilities (at least not that I'm aware of) so we user other software for our budgeting, forecasting and predictive modeling and analysis.
We formally used Microsoft Power BI as our reporting software throughout our organization. I believe Tableau Cloud is a step above Power BI and is our preferred program. The end reports are look cleaner and are easier to work with than Power BI. There are more options and functionality with Tableau and have all the same benefits that we experienced with Power BI plus more.

Tableau Cloud has been an extremely power data and reporting tool used throughout our organization. Users access reports on a daily basis that can be refreshed real-time, so they always have access to the latest data. You can also have a pre-determined amount of instances throughout the day where the reports refresh automatically. We use Tableau Cloud to share reports and data across all departments and areas of our business.
