Overall Satisfaction with Tableau Desktop

It is widely being used by my organization before making any business decisions. Complete Analysis is done with the banking data provided, as you can import data directly from the database management systems like SQL, do data cleaning and then visualize and extract a lot of insights from the data which is helpful to higher management and client to come to common grounds and make better business decisions. Also the data can be presented using its nice storytelling feature.
  • Storytelling.
  • Data visualization.
  • Data analysis.
  • Pricing.
  • Poor support.
  • Lags sometimes.
  • Revenue growth.
  • Better decision making.
  • Data storytelling.
Tableau Desktop can be preferred more over the other Business Intelligence software as it provides data visualization, storytelling and dashboards to a great extent. If you need to do data modelling it might lack a bit and you might prefer going for Microsoft Power BI but Tableau works great for almost everything else. You can draw insights, make better business decisions, plan your future strategies with it.

Would you buy Tableau Desktop again?

Yes

It is a great tool if you want to do data analysis, draw insights from the data by loading it up directly from some database like SQL. It can help you to present all the data in a better storytelling way which can help to make better business decisions. You can even make your own queries that fits your needs to make data show up on dashboards in a custom way. This can help the business and client to do future planning and make better decisions.
The community forum of Tableau is great where people can collaborate and answer your issues. But sometimes you have to wait for quite a lot before you get any response from their support teams. This is where I believe Tableau lacks as after paying such a high price you expect quality support which I believe is not up to the mark.
Tableau is a highly useful Business Intelligence software where you want to extract insights from a large chunk of data and present data in a storytelling way. It has a very high learning curve as you can do almost anything you can think of with it in terms of visualization and data analysis with a lot less clicks. Also you can do all of this either on your local machine using their Tableau Desktop or even on cloud.
