Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Tableau Online to perform quarterly model performance monitoring reports. It is commonly used in my department and presumedly being wildly used across the entire organization. The business problem that the tool address is the visualization with large data set. It provides interactive graphs with various dashboards and visualization options to select.

It really depends on what is your background. If you already know other tools to use, learning the specific interface of Tableau Online is not saving you any time and you have to dig out the specific feature. But if you don’t have coding background, this is easier to use than learning to code.

Since this is actually a premium product based on the price, you do get very good support from the company.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is suitable for people without coding background and still prefer to use interactive graphs to show the data insights. However, if you already know many packages in R or Python you can easily build the dashboard or the interactive graph yourself without paying quite a lot to use this tool.
