Overall Satisfaction with TalentLMS
We sell online courses used for continuing education credits for teachers. We also sell a completely different line of courses for parents going through divorce. TalentLMS allows us to create weekly reports for progress, send Certificates for validation of course completion, and it has a good API system that allowed us to create multiple channels for sales of our different products.
Pros
- The custom reporting feature is really nice.
- Good email notification system.
- It is easy to create courses and sell them.
Cons
- Email notifications have arbitrary limits on what information can be included. For example, you cannot include the user password in any notification email regarding course enrollment, group enrollment, etc.
- Notification emails are not sent out in a reasonable time frame. Sometimes, it takes over 20 minutes for a new user to get their registration email.
- It would be nice to get reports in the base domain containing customer user fields from various branches.
- Very stable platform for our 2000+ monthly users.
- The price point for our plan was much less than other similar LMS.
- The API allows for a wide variety of sales channels to be put in place for different product needs.
Out of the box, Talent is easier to use than Learn Dash, which can be quite convoluted to set up, as it requires the integration and configuration of multiple plugins. As a result, we spent a lot less time getting things set up in Talent than LearnDash. Talent was also much less expensive than Litmos.
