TALEO ATS review
Overall Satisfaction with Taleo
TALEO is used by Professional Recruiting as a candidate database and as a vehicle to post job descriptions to internal and external sites. TALEO helps serve the business with customization to address internal coding of requisitions and with pre-screening of candidates that is FLSA compliant. The use of the tool is global across the enterprise.
Pros
- Pre-screening of candidates - (ACE candidate alerts)
- Ease of posting to external job boards (one click postings)
- Seamless intergration with other HR applications (ie. Peoplesoft)
Cons
- Since the tool is web based, sometimes there are issues with latency. This is an area of improvement.
- The user interface is clean but could be even cleaner. (less clicks to review all candidate applies)
- Boolean search is not available.
- Efficient tracking of requisitions
- Efficient production of detailed staffing reports
- Good lead generation
When placed head to head against iCIMS, in my opinion TALEO is the better choice. Again in my opinion, I have found iCIMS to be not as versatile and also not as customizable with other enterprise applications. It is important to note that that all ATS tools have inherent positives and negatives and that the aforementioned is a personal preference.
