Migrated to Okta from from Google SSO one year ago and work life has been smooth ever since
Overall Satisfaction with The Okta Identity Cloud
Around one year ago TransferWise migrated from Google Single Sign On to Okta to have one identity management system across multiple services in our enterprise. We now use Okta across the whole organization, to ensure security access to all our internal systems.
Our IT team is constantly onboarding and integrating new services so that the experience is the same across all internal services for internal expenses, document management, vacations and health time off, surveys and other internal systems, including engineering specific tools like Github.
Integrating with Okta made our work lives easier, accessing those services is way more simple and secure now - and when an employee decides to leave, it's easier to offboard him from our platform and services all at once.

Pros
- Single sign on
- Multi-factor authentication
- Multiple services integration
Cons
- Notifications
- Onboarding customer on new services
- Ease and speed to onboard new services
- Compliance and risk reduction
- Overal employee satisfaction and productivity
We use several systems from different cloud providers (Amazon, Google and Microsoft) - the flexibility and independence of Okta allows us to easily onboard new services and new employees, while managing the risks and relationships (access controls and user rights) well for a medium to large company. Onboarding new tools and services to Okta has happened smoothly and without hiccups.
I haven't had to use the provided Okta support or professional services, since our internal IT has handled our request well in a timely manner. I expect that the Okta Support and Customer Success team is helping our internal IT department to achieve these smooth operational processes.
We were affected by downtime from many of our services recently, like AWS, Github or Slack - none of them impacted Okta service, and we haven't had an issue with Okta services availability - their engineering team is doing a great job maintaining the 99.99% uptime and availability and that is not an easy task given the scale and importance of Okta services (if our single sign on system is down then nobody can work).
Do you think Okta delivers good value for the price?
Yes
Are you happy with Okta's feature set?
Yes
Did Okta live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Okta go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Okta again?
Yes
TransferWise has used Google Single Sign On service and Amazon IAM capabilities, and I have used Microsoft Single Sign On and User Authentication services before in previous companies - Okta is simple to use and easy to integrate with other providers, compared to the alternatives - since they are focused on this area, they can deliver better user experience than large companies that try to sell their software productivity tools as a bundle.
