Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO BusinessWorks
TIBCO BusinessWorks is currently being used by technical analysts within the organization mainly as component of a larger solution architecture offered to customers.
Pros
- Interfaces with many data sources and inputs that are available in the industry
- Able to handle real time data quickly
- Interfaces with other TIBCO products well e.g. TIBCO Enterprise Messaging Service.
Cons
- The existing GUI is a little old and needs a refresh
- The current workflow is drag and drop, but extra configurations are kept within menus that mimic Eclipse's workflow i.e. hidden and not easy to access. This workflow is not user friendly.
- For a very capable product, the user manual is very well documented. However a quick start video guide would be highly beneficial for most companies these days.
- High cost relative to other products

The learning process was a little slower than learning other products as there was a lack of a quick start video guide (which is the "gold" standard for product adoption and learning in recent years). Documentation however was stellar, which still allowed me to learn and use the product to its full extent.
- Integration process was relatively straight forward and standard, which allowed us to quickly implement the flows within our project timeline
BusinessWorks is a capable and established product with strong support. It also integrates well with the other TIBCO products within the suite.

We lodged a support ticket to receive support on configuring a process to work with a specific data source that was not usually done out of the box. We received a reply from the support team within 24 hours and they were very helpful in gathering our requirements and guiding us through the process in an easy way.
