Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

UltiPro is used throughout our organization to help employees at all levels in the organization by giving them information at their finger tips. UltiPro has helped HR be more efficient and effective in our day-to-day processes. We have significantly reduced redundancy within HR. It has also significantly reduced paperwork for our managers, by allowing them to use workflows in the system to submit/approve changes for our employees. Employees can also make changes to their personal information directly online. Employee information can be accessed directly online for pay, reviews, job titles, etc. It's a one-stop-shop that allows us to consolidate everything into one database. The reporting functions far exceed what we have ever had before and it is extremely user friendly. Not to mention that UltiPro's customer service is top notch. They truly value feedback and recommendations from their customers.
  • UltiPro's customer service is top notch. They truly care about the customers and seek out our feedback. Account representatives check in to make sure everything is going well. At their annual Connections Conference customers have the opportunity to meet with and learn from other customers who use UltiPro and learn tips/tricks from them.
  • The reporting features within UltiPro are very user friendly.
  • UltiPro is very good about always looking for ways to enhance the functionality of the system. They consider customer suggestions in these enhancements. Updates are put through frequently to help improve the system, provide consistent look/feel, allow for individualized configuarability.
  • UltiPro offers continuous online training through webinars that keep you abreast of enhancements in the systems. The webinars give you details, but also provide high level insights into what new things will be coming in the future.
  • The recruiting module does not meet all of our expectations. We still need to have applications fill out paper application forms rather than entering the information into UltiPro. We would love to see that automated in the system. We are interested in adding the onboarding feature, but will not be doing that until we are satisfied with the recruiting module. (We preferred the functionality of the older module, but since we were part of the beta testing, we can't go backward.) We have discussed this with our Account Manager.
  • The performance reviews are much more limited than what they used to be with our older system. We recognize that UltiPro is about looking forward and recommending ongoing coaching sessions/feedback as opposed to annual reviews. Our environment still uses the annual reviews. That being said, we have created a simplier/easier annual review form that our managers/employees have been happy with. So the performance management options, although not as robust, are able to suit our needs. It is nice to have it all in one system with the rest of our employee information.
  • UltiPro is all about upgrades and enhancements to make the systems better. That's a good thing. As with any technology, when you change things it can impact other things you didn't anticipate. Sometimes when there are upgrades, it does cause unexpected issues in other areas. That being said, UltiPro is good about working to correct any issues that arise due to an upgrade. They work to keep us abreast of the status of those resolutions.
I personally think UltiPro is better for a mid-size or larger organization due to the cost. It is one of the more expensive HRIS systems on the market. However, I'm so thankful we invested in it because it has helped us to be so much more efficient and effective in what we do. It might be difficult for a smaller organization to afford these services.

I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to consolidate some of the work we do. If you enter the same information into multiple systems, UltiPro can significantly reduce the redundancy in your work and thereby reduce your chances of errors. We used to use separate systems for payroll, time management, and performance management. I would also recommend UltiPro if someone is trying to cut down on paper pushing/filing. Everything is automated and all in one place.

UltiPro Training

I was surprised when we found out all of our set up and training was going to be online. It worked out great. I am a person who likes face to face training. It's gone very smoothly throughout our implementation and as we added new features. The resource materials have been very useful as well. I also appreciate that quick tips/tours that are available in all areas of UltiPro. I do not need to create training materials for our managers/employees because the materials are readily provided in the UltiPro system. The regular webcasts are also very helpful and fun. Keep it up. This is something UltiPro does very well.

Customer service overall is great. We have had situations where we were not getting enough follow up from our CSR. This issue has been addressed and since then it's gotten better. Most experiences with customer service would be rating as a 10, but since it hasn't been perfect, I didn't feel comfortable rating it as a 10. I have been very impressed overall with the customer service aspects of UltiPro.

Integrating UltiPro

From my experience, UltiPro has been very user friendly. The integration process, when we joined UltiPro, went very smoothly and the online training was better than I expected it to be.
