My team was looking to overhaul my whole organization's data protection processes. This had not undergone an update in about 10+ years. They offered my team a simple, flexible, reliable, and powerful

Veeam Backup for AWS has been fantastic for us. As a
university, it is critical that we do have access to our data all the time and that
we have solutions that allow us to complete full recoveries, granular recoveries and
recoveries to new locations. Veeam Backup for AWS recover your data
whenever, however and wherever we need it. We would never consider an
option that cannot do that.Against competitors, the service that we received from Veeam
was incredible. Their support allowed us to onboard quickly and receive
timely support to ensure that our team is always ready to meet new issues if they spring up.

The most important factor was usability. To facilitate backup and storage, we needed to make it easier for our own staff to feel empowered to do this and in having a simple and usable system, we could more easily do such a thing. For us, having a solution that people could easily adopt and use was most important to ensuring proper backup and storage
No, I would not change anything. I would ask more questions earlier on. We want to know that our potential solutions are useful. It'll only happen if we can ask to find out. Bringing these questions up earlier in the procurement process is helpful for everyone involved. This is not a solutions issue but a procurement process one
