Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365

We back up our entire organization using Veeam. The recovery and search elements have proved time and time again, the value and reliability of Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365. Finding critical information and being able to restore it quickly and efficiently means we chose Veeam over Microsoft tools to find and restore exactly what we need.

  • Great Support team who respond quickly and are friendly
  • Intuitive search features make finding and restoring easy
  • The Explorer features should be as standard out of the box
  • A reporting dashboard would make it easier to investigate any issues
  • Selecting the Office 365 areas to back up could be sorted into specific application areas
  • Saved time on finding important information
  • Retrieved information for legal accountability where MS could not

We needed something with which we could reliably retrieve old archived information quickly. Microsoft was not always able to find or deliver information in a reasonable timeframe and in some cases, could not retrieve the information at all. Veeam offered an affordable, quick, robust, and easy to use platform that backs up the entire organization effortlessly and without crippling our other internet-based services.
The explorer and search functionality couldn't be easier to use, so simple.
We had a situation where a user left and we had a dispute with them. They had tried to delete all their email history and using Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365, we were able to retrieve all this information quickly and easily and thus were able to resolve the dispute.

I can only comment on the small business market and even with this, it can take some time to set up. Therefore Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 may not be well suited to the large scale or enterprise environments. For us though, even with the setup taking a little time, it was well worth the effort for the ease of use with the search functionality.
