Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication
Veeam has been and is currently being used as a centralized backup solution within an ESX/ESXi environment containing over 130 ESX hosts along with multiple vCenters including over 6000 vms. This has been a very useful tool for this establishment and has fulfilled our needs for a solid backup solution.
Pros
- Backups at image level are reliable
- Extremely easy to use. Very user friendly
- Very little issues with bugs in the software and support is tremendous.
Cons
- A few added features
- Possible integration with other Veeam tools such as Veeam One.
- Veeam has had nothing but positive impact on the business objectives. We had a budget on the cost of the solution and it fit within our budget and has worked extremely well for us.
- Support renewal has also been made easy and cost effective.
Veeam, in my experience, outranks all of the others in my opinion. Support, ease of use and stability are a cut above the rest. Other solutions, I noticed, do not communicate and/or work with the ESX environment as well as Veeam does, especially when it comes to issues with snapshots and image level backups.
