We were looking for a Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) solution designed to protect and recover data across Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, and Teams. The Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 solution aligned with our goals of enhancing data recovery and security by maintaining ownership of Microsoft 365 data through a third-party backup provider

Increasing cyber threats, such as malware and ransomware necessitate the need for some sort of backup solution for Microsoft 365 and all of our company data. Knock on wood, we have not had any incidences that have required us to quickly recover data either accidentally or maliciously. We can state that our backups have been tested and we have run disaster recovery scenarios testing the fidelity of our backups. These have all been completed with no issues.
The broad variety of restore options in Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 are particularly handy when offboarding employees. The built in Microsoft 365 solution is lacking and complicated to use. Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 simplifies this and it is easy to toss email and OneDrive backups to supervisors or whomever without problems.
