Safeguarding Safety Data Effortlessly

The experience of using Veeam Data Platform thus far in the safety and environmental data management scheme has been mostly positive. The general management from day to day is almost hassle free and any arising issue is easily pointed out by the automated monitoring system. The structure is well assembled and it is easy to find the specific backup of the safety records or an environmental compliance file should it be required.

Currently, we protect about 85 workloads with Veeam Data Platform including 12 physical servers, 58 virtual machines, and 15 cloud workloads on our safety and environment monitoring infrastructure. We initially anticipated implementing the solution and this is about 30% more protected workloads than originally anticipated.

The most notably, basic recovery operation has been done by safety team without involving IT personnel only but rather than enhancement in preparedness level of safety team, it has reduced centralized dependency for recovery operations, enhancing the operational readiness of the platform. It has been especially useful during safety audits when information from previous years has to be accessed with regards to the occurrence.

Through its cloud platform Veeam Data Platform has brought major advantages to our safety and environmental operations along various operational dimensions. The cloud capabilities from our organization include protections for workloads running on the cloud together with storage for backups and disaster recovery services that operate from the cloud domain.

This functionality has met an important need arising from massive volumes of unstructured data that have for long remained unprotected in the data ecosystem. Within our organization we hold large safedocs file storages filled with safety procedures, incident investigation pictures, environmental samples, regulatory compliance files amongst others.
