Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform

We use Veeam Data Platform to backup and secure our virtual machine cluster. VDP ensures that we always have a backup that is ready at a moments notice. VDP automates the backup and testing of the backups and can provide an overview and details of the backups (like size and how long it took to take the backup) at just a few clicks of the mouse.

Currently we use Veeam Data Platform to back up one VM host solution. We tried to use Veeam to backup our O365 but I could not get it to fully work with an S3 storage provider. The answer to the question is that I expected to use more but due to support failures we had to scale back.

Veeam Data Platform was integrated with our VM cluster from the beginning. It just works. My experience since the beginning has not been as good. Trying to move to a cloud based storage solution for our O365 platform did not work and we were forced to look elsewhere.
We tried a Veeam cloud based storage solution for our O365 and it didn't work. The support we got was minimal and by definition (it never worked) bad.
The support from Kaseya has been fantastic. I always feel like a Tier 1 customer when I ask for support. Kaseya's tight integration with O365 allowed me to set up cloud based backups for that environment with just a few clicks. When it was time to deploy Unitrends, a support engineer was with me at all times until the solution was fully deployed.

Veeam Data Platform is really good at doing what is designed to do. The features of the product are complete and robust. I have not experienced any downtime - having a backup is useless if the platform is down. In the past I have had problems integrating VDP with S3 providers. Support was very minimal and often multiple requests just pointed me at the same out of date web page.
