Overall Satisfaction with Vena

I use Vena daily in my work, and I find it very user-friendly. It has been a great help to both our Operations and Finance teams. We use it to house all of our month end Excel sheets that we use for input and uploads that integrates with our Accounting software, as well as for our budget process, and all of our financial reporting on all levels. It was very easy to implement with our Operations team, and customer support was always there if we ran into problems. I value the fact that we have all of our reporting in one place. The most crucial problem that Vena is solving for our organization is bringing our outside excel reports into Vena and having the ease of integrating it with our accounting software and it updating in real time.

Pros

  • Helps Operations and Finance to see what is happening in real time at each site.
  • It makes the budgeting process very easy for Operations to input and Finance to go in and check alongside at the same time.

Cons

  • I wish it was easier for individual contributors to make customized reports.
  • I wish the download name was actually the name of the report that I am downloading.
  • Easier to export without losing the functionality in some areas.
  • It has impacted our business in the financial department greatly. It has significantly reduced the time we have spent updating Excel reports each month and year, and now that they are in Vena, they update everything automatically. Everytime the date changes or a new customer is added, it all is in our month end reports for operations to use without any human intervention.
  • It has also reduced the time that Finance had to create reports out of our accounting software for Operations to use since they didn't have access to the accounting software itself. Now they can access everything pulling directly from it.
  • It has also reduced the time that Finance has tracking down details in 3rd party systems that Operations use and that we don't have access to by reports created directly from the 3rd party software that we can review and help Operations when they have issues.
Although I was not personally involved, I heard great things from the implementation team about how supported they felt when they were navigating the process. They have only had great things to say about customer support when they are having issues, and I know personally that the team who handles the behind the scenes in Vena are always able to solve our issues very quickly which speaks to the support they have received from Vena themselves.
We are able to pull together several years of profit and loss statements or revenue reports for new customers that our considering us very quickly so that they can present to the customer and give us the best shot at gaining these potential new customer that helps us thrive overall in the 3PL business model.

I was not part of this process, but our company is very up with current trends and definitely will invest in the best software and anything else that will put us ahead of our competition. Infor is kind of outdated and so I believe that why and how they came to choose Vena was because you have a superior software and offer everything that we need to succeed.

I find it well suited for month end close sheets that we use between our Operations and Finance teams. I also find budgeting very easy. Reporting is easily the #1 for me where it feeds from our accounting software but can be seen and used by our Operations team. It also integrates with other software that we use so that Finance can see details of what Operations inputs.

Vena Solutions Attributes

When I reach out to our support team, they are always able to fix any issues we are having in a timely manner. It is always resolved quickly which proves that customer support always helps out our support team with any issues so they can in turn help us quickly.
I love this product. We integrate all of our financial needs between finance and the operations team so that we have real time data being looked at all of the time. Our operations can reach out and be able to discuss possible issues or variances at any time of the month and leads us to be able to have smoother month end closes.

Using Vena

They run across all of the business functions within our company. Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Management & is used to report to our customers. It is very user friendly and makes it so much easier for all of our company to be looking at the same data so that everyone is always on the same page.
8 - The people that we have supporting Vena at our organization include leaders who have been here many years and have a vast institutional knowledge of our organization and know what is needed combined with our analytical and programming individuals who use the leaders insights and make those come to fruition.
