Overall Satisfaction with Vena Solutions
We use Vena for budget, forecasting and long-range planning. Vena helps us manage our spreadsheet distribution and data collection. It takes our data and puts it into a database that automatically consolidates and aggregates our data. We also use Vena to track personnel costs and for forecast timing of new hires.
- Vena’s strengths are its power in consolidation and aggregation of data. Vena provides instant visibility into data from multiple business dimension levels.
- The workflow functionality allows us to easily manage the ownership and distribution of the spreadsheets supporting our process. The tool is intuitive and the GUI is great.
- Version and change control of spreadsheets.
- The tool lacks a true personnel module. We needed to build and rely on complex spreadsheets to capture all calculations and run scripts to cost out our actions. It was time-consuming to build, lacks predictable accuracy and is less flexible than I would have preferred.
- Vena needs a more mature implementation process and approach. A more formal process and more project management support would be beneficial.
- The solution build relies too heavily on future consultant involvement to make changes or leverage functionality.
