Overall Satisfaction with PDS Vista

We are currently using it for are HRIS in our HR department. It is used for payroll as well. We have rolled out self-service to a few of our employees. It helps bring all functions of the HR/Payroll together in one system.
  • User Friendly application.
  • All information for employees is a click away.
  • Customer Service for Vista is very helpful.
  • Reports are very useful and easy to pull.
  • Manual check process is very long and drawn out.
  • Importing a large batch from an excel spreadsheet - without having to ask someone to write a function for that.
  • It would be great if the system gave you some kind of an alert if something was wrong, without having to wait until the employee came to you.
  • Payroll reports that could be more user-friendly.
  • It makes for better customer services when mistakes are made. You can fix it yourself instead of haivng to wait until the next payroll
  • The reports have done wonders for our accounting team
  • the negative impact would not know what errors in the setup process you have until it is too late
If you are not going to do taxes or checking printing in house, I am not sure this product would be best. It causes lots of issues when you have a 3rd party doing those things for you.

Using PDS Vista

Overall to me, it has not been the best transition. The startup was rushed and not everything was set up properly. We continue to have issues, that make "us" as a department look bad. This is partly our fault and part the

implementation set up. The system is great as an HRIS, but when it comes to payroll/taxes not so much.
