Overall Satisfaction with Cision Communications Cloud

  • Social Media: Monitoring of social media and news outlets - it finds conversations on specified topics across a number of online, print, blog and social sites.
  • Social Media: The “Recommendations” option identifies influencers for a specific topic, based on reposts and or references rather than the number of followers like other platforms.
  • Press Release Distribution: User friendly and easy to distribute via email, media contacts or media outlets.
  • Media Contacts: While the platform offers a huge selection of contacts, I found it a bit difficult to edit media lists once they've been created. This is an aspect of the platform I found frustrating at times, but wasn't a huge setback.
  • After using the PR Vocus Suite we saw an increased in traffic to .com
Having both used the Vocus PR Suite and the Vocus Marketing Suite I believe as a Marketer and / or PR professional at times you need both suites to really get the results you're looking for. There are few things I found lacking in the PR Suite that I missed from the Vocus Marketing Suite. The Vocus PR Suite is mostly a social media monitoring and public relations tool, but if you're looking for an automation tool, this may not be your best choice.

Using Cision Communications Cloud

Other than the press release distribution and email options, I was extremely satisfied with the platform's social media tools for brand management such as Facebook promotions, sweepstakes, social mentions and social monitoring.
