Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

In administration of court systems in Ohio, it has become necessary to implement MFA in our environment in order to maintain Cyber insurance. AuthPoint has allowed this to accomplish this using our existing WatchGuard Infrastructure. It allows the flexibility of using either Authenticator Phone Apps or Key Fobs in a Central management location.

  • East Intergration
  • Flexibility with MFA options
  • First time setup is complex - lacking documentation
  • Text message as a MFA option would be nice
  • Navigating between agencies in cloud management can be clunky
  • Accomplishes goal of MFA
  • First time setup can be tricky, with lack of easy to use documentation
  • Have had complaints about authenticator app draining phone batteries.
It is easy for knowledgeable users. Some complaints about it draining battery. Sometimes end up being IT for every users phone (multiple types and OS)

Workers, especially well for MFA requirement on SSL VPN setups. There is no option to simply reset a password for a user, you have to send a password reset link to the user. This is good and bad. It's good if you have a competent user as you can just click a button and they do the rest. Bad if you have users that are less that knowledgeable and have trouble with password requirements.
