Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint
WatchGuard AuthPoint is used to provide MFA for our VPNs and those at our clients.
- The client software and VPN creation scripts are easy to deploy
- Tight integration with Watchguard Fireboxes
- Stable and reliable
- Initial setup of Authpoint itself could be a bit simpler
- Although rarely required, it would be good to have a way to transfer Authpoint user accounts from one client account to another
- ROI is hard to quote for a security product because it is hard to accurately quantify what costs it prevents. It's best to view it as a product that reduces the risk of business interruption and/or loss of data or reputation.
WatchGuard Authpoint performs well, integrates with their Fireboxes, as expected, and can be managed in the same GUI as their Firebox.
The lack of need for local hardware for MFA itself frees up our time as an MSP and reduces cost to our clients.
The ease of installation, activation and ongoing authentication has been very welcome by us and our clients.
We have not deployed SSO (just Firebox VPNs), but will be investigating it for our clients shortly.
