Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security
We utilize WatchGuard's Total Security Suite (TSS) to protect our networks from all current threats. We use WatchGuard firewalls with TSS across our entire organization with all protection features enabled, including Reputation Enabled Defense, Threat Detection and Response, Geolocation filtering, web blocking with content filtering, and a nice, new feature known as DNS Watch.
Pros
- Threat Detection and Response to defend against active malware and viruses as well as zero-day threat protection.
- Web blocking with content filtering is used to prevent employees from going to websites where they will be less productive.
- DNS Watch is used to prevent employees from accidentally going to websites that could insert a virus onto their computer.
Cons
- I can't think of any at this time.
- We have experienced no viruses or malware on our networks since implementing WatchGuard's solutions.
- Threat Detection and Response, along with WebBlocker, DNS Watch and all other security offerings with the Total Security Suite have been major wins for our clients.
We worked with WatchGuard support directly on purchase and implementation Stellar support all around. We have been Gold partners going on 4 years, and are enjoying the relationship. Support is always available when we need them, and our sales team support has been amazing.
We like the all-in-one packaging. The only options are whether to go with their Live Security Service, Basic Security Service (BSS) or Total Security Service (TSS). The TSS options packages all of the security benefits provided by WatchGuard, along with integrated reporting and monitoring, keeping our budget simple, which is outstanding!
SonicWall does not compare to WatchGuard. We used to use SonicWall devices, but the competitive WatchGuard products beat the SonicWall devices hands down. SonicWall is more difficult to configure, and they do not offer simple, all-in-one packages to compare with WatchGuard's BSS and TSS security suites. We prefer WatchGuard after having lots of experience with both products.
