Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security

We use a variety of WatchGuard tools to ensure network security in our organization and the networks of our clients. While the clients can range from 5 employees to a few hundred, WatchGuard has the tools we need. We use it for secure remote access, traffic filtering, and compliance purposes.

Pros

  • Provides comprehensive logs
  • Detailed security options
  • high visibility

Cons

  • The cloud management, while it is improving, is still rather clunky and obtrusive
  • The wireless access points do not provide as much functionality
  • WatchGuard helps us to keep clients secure. That is our primary objective!
  • WatchGuard has provided a fairly all-in-one security dashboard in WatchGuard Cloud, so we can go to one place to manage all of our details.
This has been invaluable. The ability to monitor all our security details from one platform only makes it easier to identify threats, respond accordingly, and be able to prepare for the next one.
It has made it much easier than what we had previously. As opposed to going to 5 or 6 different websites to manage all our security products, we now can access it from one unified console. It's been invaluable.

I believe WatchGuard would be excellent for most scenarios, perhaps it would become less well suited in extremely large environments
