Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

We are currently in the process of finalizing buying decision between paid zoom and paid Webex licenses. We have been using Google meets extensively so far. However there were multiple events where zoom and Webex turned out to be much better in terms of call quality. In some of our google meet calls at around 20 MBPS speed, we experienced extremely high levels of disturbance and were forced to switch to alternatives

Pros

  • Very Good call quality across nations - tested for the Americas, Asia and some Middle-eastern nations as well.
  • Performs well despite lesser speed (Especially when clients use mobile data)
  • Can handle a spectrum of hardware
  • More affordable vs. Zoom
  • End-to-end encryption (E2EE) and thus very secure vs. Google meets
  • Multiple noise quality improvement features that work as committed

Cons

  • User interface is less intuitive vs. all nearest competitors
  • The company seems to focus more on corporate clients vs. mid or small business
  • Definite ROI case for businesses that are transnational and do not want any tech. impediments and embarrasements during webinars
  • Added features such a recordings, transcriptions, AI assistant - definitely provide the needed productivity. Atleasdt 5 paid accounts are a must for any global business
Webex Meetings is a close contender and currently under evaluation vs. zoom. So far, zoom has been battle-tested on all fronts except privacy and a better contender. However we are yet evaluating Webex given better pricing and greater privacy

Do you think Webex Meetings delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Webex Meetings's feature set?

Yes

Did Webex Meetings live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Webex Meetings go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Webex Meetings again?

Yes

So far, we find it to be a very close contender to zoom and much better than Google meets. In terms of pricing it is definitely better than zoom. If the business is very transnational and video calls are mission critical, Webex is a "must-evaluate" when looking at paid options.

Evaluating Webex Meetings and Competitors

  • Ease of Use
  • Other
More than 50% of our users still use google meets and the others use zoom for priority connects. However we intend to use one common application in the interest of productivity and managerial ease. Since this is a long term decision, we are evaluating Webex basis a consultant's opinion. OTher than ease of use, we are also looking at cost, feature, AI capabilities, video quality adaptability to various nations, devices and bandwidth levels
In retrospect, we should have evaluated all contenders in place of directly jumping on to "free" google meets. While the process is robust, but it was never used for this functionality (video calls) resulting in the current "hybrid" that often needs staff to be conversant with both - Google meets and zoom.
