Overall Satisfaction with Whova

We used Whova as the event management application for our annual conference this year. Our division chose and managed the app but it was used across the organization for those who attended the conference. We used the Whova app to provide a centralized, easy to access application for event invitations, registration, logistics, name badges, agendas, speakers/bios, bulletin board, and evaluation.
  • Whova is affordable! Out of all of the solutions we researched, the price for the value was extremely competitive.
  • The Whova management dashboard online was easy to use and able to be managed by multiple people on our team.
  • The app was easy for our attendees to use and they enjoyed interacting with other attendees through the bulletin board and messaging service.
  • The name badges for our attendees were easy to design and print straight from Whova which saved us a lot of time and ensured their names, titles, and companies were consistent with what they typed at registration.
  • Whova's event evaluation integration with SurveyMonkey was seamless and easy to use. We had used SurveyMonkey for our event in the past, and it was great that users could access the evaluation straight from the Whova app.
  • A few of the event invitations from Whova went to invitees' spam folders, although we didn't know that, which caused a delay in our invitees receiving their invitations. This is a potential issue with any third party emailing. Whova said they would work to identify the root cause and fix this issue.
  • Whova has an attendee dashboard where you can see who has registered and a few other details, but it is not a comprehensive dashboard covering all of the registration info and custom questions you may have developed that registrants had to answer. You have to export this information to Excel in order to review all of it. It would be efficient and helpful for event managers to be able to see, sort, and edit that information directly on the dashboard in Whova.
  • We did not use the feature to upload session presentations to the app for attendees to download due to the additional price per document. It would be nice if this wasn't charged per document or at least included a minimum amount of storage for smaller presentations. However, the overall value is still very competitive.
  • 52 out of 81 attendees downloaded the Whova app (64%), and those who did had very positive things to say about us having it as a resource at the event to aid in their networking with other attendees and speakers.
  • Our 52 app users at a two day event racked up 480 agenda views, 702 profile views, and 164 exchanged messages.
  • 82% of our users reported that they found Whova useful.
Whova is an economical and easy to use application for companies on a budget or those who need flexibility. They were able to accommodate our conference being internal and thus not having a paid ticketing component. If you need to change registrants' information often or on a large scale, it may be frustrating for event managers within the Whova dashboard (at this time).
