Overall Satisfaction with Whova

I use Whova when it's chosen as the platform for online/virtual conferences, as it was for the 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 NY-NJ Harbor & Estuary conferences. The main problem it addresses is the lack of interpersonal connections found/grown at an in-person event. [The] ease of use is a major benefit.
  • The Leaderboard. Whoever (Whova-ever?) came up with it is a genius. I LOVE it.
  • The ability to connect with & message attendees is something I've not seen in other platforms
  • The dashboard is remarkably user-friendly
  • The reminders and updates were welcome, esp. in my busy world,
  • The fact that I was "already in the system" and didn't have to start fresh was a BIG positive.
  • I don't have enough experience to make a proper determination. I can't think of anything.
  • Ease of use
  • Connectivity between participants
  • Quality of video/audio
  • At this point I still cannot provide any detailed ROI info. PERSONALLY I find the networking particularly useful and beneficial. And once again, suffice it to say there were/are NO negatives.
I like Whova best for interactive conferencing. However, I did not select it. It was selected by the NY-NJ Harbor & Estuary Program and I'm glad it was. Subsequent discussion with HEP staff has found that the platform is well worth it.

Do you think Whova delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Whova's feature set?

Yes

Did Whova live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Whova go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Whova again?

Yes

A large conference (300+ participants) is well-served by Whova, whereas a smaller gathering (-200 participants) might not need all the features Whova offers. The aforementioned connections between participants, something I think only Whova offers, was not only fun to use but [was especially helpful] when I didn't have the person's email; [I] was able to ask them for it and vice-versa. The relationship [with] Whova goes a long way to forge and maintain them.

Using Whova

2 - One is the Program Director, other is Staff Attorney. Both are engaged in planning and implementation of the organization's mission. Both also represent the organization on regional boards, ad hoc committees and the like.
  • Conference participation
  • Recommending it to groups similar in scope to NY-NJ HEP for them to use.
FYI I "use" Whova as a conference participant, not leader (or owner)
