Overall Satisfaction with Widen

Acquia DAM (Widen) is a wonderful digital asset management tool, mainly used for our edited photography work. The ability to ingest our meta-data, add meta-data, and create sorting functions is a real benefit to the tool, especially across campus. Acquia DAM (Widen) helps our content creation projects, finding relative media quickly, while also acting as a repository throughout the years. It really is a wonderful resource.

Using it for video one day
Our expert on campus has led workshops and tutorials on how to best utilize Acquia DAM (Widen) from assigning privileges, folders, projects, etc. These have been incorporated and disseminated across centers in order for others to utilize the platform to its fullest extent. Working with Acquia DAM (Widen) helps our content creation process.
We mainly use Acquia DAM (Widen) as a repository where photographers can upload their edited media. It acts as a searchable base and archive. We have not used the API tools or any other integration across platforms. It is nice to be able to download multiple formats or search for types of media (logos, photos, etc)

Acquia DAM (Widen) is useful for the ingestion of media, specifically photos. Editing our photos and tagging them with meta-data prior to upload is critical to using the platform to its fullest extent. Acquia DAM (Widen) does have the capability to add meta-data after the fact, but by providing high-end media, the platform really shines. It has helped content creators across departments share media over time.
