We use Acquia DAM (Widen) within our department and the University to share assets. Acquia DAM (Widen) provides the flexibility and ease of sharing without the bombardment of emails and requests, especially to the Marketing department. We are able to control and limit certain assets that are specifically for the marketing department but still can create collections for other departments to seek their resources. The organization within Acquia DAM (Widen) comes from a great team that helps you set it up for success. We have been successful so far with no issues!

A large storage placement for our final files for clients to grab rather than being emailed the assets.
We have only been using the DAM system within the University. We are looking into an API integration with our CMS system, Sitefinity. Unfortunately, no immediate support but the developer is currently working on trying to integrate the collections to allow embedding onto our website to display rather than using a Flickr API.
