Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow)

We use WinAutomation to schedule various tasks such as updating and sending various files to vendors, importing files into various databases and distributing reports/files to internal departments. Only the IT department uses this application but other departments benefit from it.

Pros

  • Extremely easy to use. Easy to see what exactly is going happen and easy to troubleshoot.
  • Lots of versatility when it comes to what can be scheduled and automated.

Cons

  • Licensing can randomly lose the license key and need to be reapplied.
  • Secure FTP commands need to be revamped as some FTP sites will not connect via SFTP.
  • We have eliminated 6-7 hours a week with tasks I have created with WinAutomation.
  • Being a non-profit, we need to be creative and resourceful on where we spend our money. And having someone do the same thing every day is not a good way for us to spend our money. Having something like WinAutomation is a necessity when it comes to IT or repetitive tasks.
I did not have to review other applications before deciding to purchase WinAutomation. I downloaded the trial and after a few days of using the trial, I knew this was the correct application for what I needed to automate.
If you have file manipulation, repetitive browser tasks, or the distribution of files or email, then WinAutoamtion is an excellent fit. You do not need a lot of technical background to create practically any kind of script. The application is designed in a very straightforward process.

Microsoft Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow) Support

I have only had to contact support at WinAutomation one time. Response time was a few hours and their instructions were easy to follow.

Using Microsoft Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow)

WinAutomation is very practical and straightforward application. The controls are what you see is what you get. Troubleshooting is also easy to follow when things are not working the way you intend.
