Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Wix to create a website to showcase an app we created for a competition. Wix allows users who do not have a string background in HTML/CSS to create beautifully crafted websites with little to no code. Themes are provided for users to easily select and apply. Thus, there is no need to hire a website designer to design your webpage!

Pros and Cons

Simple User Interface
Wide variety of themes to choose from

Websites created are not very optimized for mobile
Displays on different devices messes up sometimes
Not enough features to create a gorgeous website or one for monetization.

Return on Investment

Cheap (Free) solution to create good websites
However, adding your own domain requires a Premium Tier :/
Less time wasted trying to code the website in HTML/CSS

Alternatives Considered

WordPress

WordPress is more well known and offers a greater suite of features and tools. However, WordPress is slightly more expensive than Wix so I rather use Wix since I do not need many of the Premium features in WordPress. Wix provides enough for me to create a decent looking website!

Likelihood to Recommend

Wix is suited to create a simple and good looking website which displays product information or for blogging. Its limited features may be good and bad. Good because it makes it easy for users to use, but bad because it may lose versatility. So Wix cannot create task-intensive websites very well...
