Overall Satisfaction with Wolters Kluwer CCH® Tagetik

We use the software to integrate our ERP with CCH Tagetik Modules: IFRS16, Planning, Forecast, Budget, Consolidation.

Pros

  • Integrate with external ERPs
  • Easy-to-use for users
  • Pre-Packaged Solutions available

Cons

  • sometimes too many regressions on the software
  • some partners are Tagetik Certified even if they don't seem to be too good for Tagetik Implementations
  • After setting the system, the maintenance requested is quite low and this saves time. (I Can't quantify that).
It is a good software, perfectly integrated with other systems and after a correct "setting" on an admin side it generally works fine.
The crucial areas to be improved is the presence of (sometimes critical) regressions at the first releases of a new Service Pack that requires a further couple of upgrades and the absence of clear error message in some data processing (especially consolidation): I understand there are dirty data somewhere but you can't allow an encrypted stack trace that doesn't point out my mistake.

Yes

Well Suited: Pre-packaged solutions are extremely powerful because they are super easy-to-use and to be setup on an IT Side.
Less Appropriate: especially on Consolidation, if there is a wrong parametrisation or a value not allowed by the system, there is an ecnrypted stack trace and not clear error message.
