Overall Satisfaction with Workfront
We use Workfront in our marketing team, which has about a dozen members, spread across three countries. Each of us can create and manage projects, and we build departmental teams within marketing for each project. We sometimes include people from other departments in our Workfront projects.
- Centralize projects in one solution
- Manage digital work processes
- Review and approve digital work
Pros
- It's pretty quick to implement across a department. We rolled it out quite smoothly.
- We're just beginning to use Agile for our website development projects. I can create a project and show it to non-Agile team members in a standard view, but I can also view the same project as an Agile burndown chart. Very nice.
Cons
- I feel that their Agile capabilities are a work in progress. You can definitely use it in an Agile environment, but some features aren't very intuitive, and could use more refinement.
- The online help could use work. Searching help often leads to frustration.
- Using WorkFront in an Agile environment, we reduced the amount of time our team spent building a new website significantly. We saw at least a 30% improvement. It did not take us long at all to change from waterfall to Agile project management within Workfront.
