What is Adobe Workfront?
Workfront is a web-based project-management tool acquired and now supported by Adobe since late 2020. It was designed for both IT and marketing teams, but can be implemented for any kind of project. Workfront offers all the features standard to project management platforms. Editing and updating issues from the project view is styled to work somewhat similarly to a social networking site, bringing team members together in one central location. From the project view screen, issues, documents, and other elements of the project are placed along a tab bar so that they may be addressed with one click directly from the hub.
The platform's Capacity Planner allows a manager to move resources to where they are needed, and has some automation features (e.g. the Set Best Fit option, which attempts to allocate resources optimally within given constraints). Agile project management is supported with features like Gantt charts, an easily viewable and manipulable backlog, and storyboarding. Team members can be managed with the aid of quantitative metrics that show where work would be best allocated.
A free trial is available, after which Workfront comes in four pricing options. The lowest tier is Collaboration for small groups, followed by Work which adds mobile accessibility and time sheets, then Plan which adds additional analytic, planning, and reporting features. Finally, Enterprise Plus offers the highest configurability as well as support and data security.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why
I subcontract for a large corporation that utilizes Adobe Workfront for all of it's projects. Having never used it before, I was surprised at how easy I was able to jump into it (I have previous experience with Microsoft Office, which helped). The UI is clean and well-organized, and being able to keep everyone I report to up-to-date is vital, and easy to achieve with Adobe Workfront.

- It's a very large program - which is a good thing for a large corporation with hundreds of ongoing projects, but can be daunting if you're not used to it

Workfront | Best Project Management tool
My organization used Adobe Workfront as its primary project management tool to track project progress for most projects. We can assign tasks to members of the team and track the progress of each project with Adobe Workfront. Additionally, it assists team members in managing their work, highlighting dependencies, and prioritizing tasks based on the go-live date.

A solid choice for Project, Time and Resource Management (Plus some bonus features!)
At my current employer, we leverage Adobe Workfront for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, Workfront is used as a time tracking and resource management platform. Projects are created—whether for client work or internal initiatives—and resources are added. Workfront enables project managers and project contributors to see how a project is tracking (going smoothly, at risk, etc.) and makes the necessary adjustments to remediate timelines and budgets. We also use Workfront to integrate with our financial platforms as well as Workfront Proof for editorial requests (proofing) for client-facing documents such as proposals, pitch decks, statements of work, etc.

Amazing Project Management Tool! A must have for consulting firms
Workfront is a tool that is utilized in our organization for one of the service lines that provides implementation services for clients. Workfront is used as a project management tool for these teams and helps to organize and standardize project methodology across the team. Workfront is also used in order to help track and maintain employee project forecasting and actual time vs. forecasted time to projects.

Right for Collaborating Teams
[Adobe] Workfront application has been used by our Business Development functional area to streamline their new opportunities that the current employees have to audit, follow up on, and then file according to the priority. Each case is treated as a mini project in itself and so requires task management, task assignment, status updates as well as [the] attachment of documentation to be reviewed by senior management.

Workfront is a good PM solution
Workfront is used in my department for most web, creative, and cross-team projects. It makes keeping track of work, project status, and next steps easy. It also lets us set up workflows or processes for different projects, so we don't re-invent the wheel each time - we can just do the same system that worked before.

- Having tasks/projects without a due date (if it is in a backlog or prioritization queue).
- Navigating can be a little complicated - it is robust, but sometimes a bit of navigating to get to the right area.
This is for a consulting position I held - the school had anywhere between 20 to 40 things going at once, projects like enrichment, after school, internal projects for marketing, etc... so this program was reviewed to keep track of them, have visibility and keep an eye on projects that might have normally fallen by the wayside.

- Project management (with visibility, employees were less likely to let the project slip away).
- Conversations, communications, aren't handled very well in the program.

Work managed perfectly by Workfront
We use it to analyse our project progress and to track the time taken by our team members to work on the projects assigned. Workfront is an easy to use platform with a user-friendly interface to navigate any function easily. It allows our team members to work on it remotely. Start to end its pretty much reliable.

Excellent platform for task and project management
It is being used in the management of projects and tasks. It offers an excellent environment for the implementation of tasks across our organization. There is team collaboration since Workfront works in enhancing teamwork. The main problem we have solved is ensuring that our team members have a central location for the operation.

Workfront; A Handy Tool For Simplifying The Project
Workfront has been a ubiquitous solution for project management in our organization. The software has been deployed in our overall departments. Workfront has assisted us in dealing with multiple tasks, simplifying the workload. With this software, we are able to work efficiently and execute tasks in required time. We are able to manage hundreds of projects and portfolios.

Workfront is being used predominately by the marketing group in many ways, ultimately to help manage marketing resources--from imagery to review and approval processes with legal/regulatory entities to content creation for a variety of marketing activities. Workfront has enabled us to advance our ability to collaborate on projects with greater clarity on where projects stand, who has assignments, and how we prioritize work getting done.

Workfront for HealthCare workers
Workfront is utilized by the marketing, communications and events team at BJC HealthCare. As many of our projects involve multiple users (now all remote workers), it's a way for everyone to communicate and update everyone on the progress, and also to share resources and documents as the project moves forward. It also lets people know when the project is complete, or what roadblocks there might be.

- Serves as a virtual "to do list" for me personally - I can track where I am with projects and what there is left to do, and when it's completed.
- Sharing documents between team members that can be updated.
- Notifications - at times it is difficult to receive updates from team members unless you log in.
- Cumbersome - at least at BJC HealthCare, there's a lot of steps to get things logged.
- Archive system - you have to set up a whole other folder or archive to put projects that are closed out.

Remote work simplified and streamlined.
We are using Workfront across different departments and teams to automate our workflows, simplify digital asset management and be in control of all our work. Workfront has been an important tool in our remote work since the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic. It has facilitated communication and collaboration among teams with the valuable features it offers. Our IT professionals have received great benefits from using features like keep track of bugs, milestones, status, product road mapping, and issue management. On a single platform, we can have projects delivered in a timely manner and quality work delivered which leaves our customers satisfied.

Well-Suited for Enterprise
Workfront allows our teams to manage projects and process work requests. Nearly everyone in the company, across departments, uses it. Workfront allows management to track time allocations and helps staff members manage their individual workloads. I'm not sure what we would do without a tool of this kind at this point.

Workfront, does most of the work for me
Various departments within our organization utilize Workfront as a request system and project management system. Workfront allows us to use the system, to create, update, track and finalize requests that would have normally been submitted to departments via email. Making it a singular avenue to see all the happenings of any particular requests/project. One of the features I enjoy most is the updates that can be received by a single user or a team by utilizing the team functions. An email is sent to any user connected to the team or project and no person has to remember who to send any info to, the system does that for you as long as they are attached or part of that team. This reduces the possible issue of "forgetting" to include someone in an email or update. Adding documents and the approval process of said documents make collaborating easier for my needs. Updates on one page make it easy for any user to easily review a request and latest information. Overall the system provides what need it to and it is an excellent system for requests, projects and workflows are an area that can use improvement yet it is functional.
- Requests work particularly well for us, updates and information in regards to a request are all in one place. Updates provided to all attached users/teams, documents, hours logged, it makes requests easy, pretty much a one stop shop.
- Being able to pull reports on our requests and have custom fields that provide all the information we would need without having to go back and fourth in different programs makes it a breeze to provide information to management.
- Projects, we would like to see more options when it comes to working with projects.
- Workflows, I would like to see some dynamic workflows. Request A > flows to Request B. Without having to reenter information.

A Well Organized Project Management Tool
Our Project Management team is using Adobe Workfront for Agile and Scrum. Workfront provides deeper visibility to our project sprints and our engineers who are working on them. It also gives you an amazing dashboard that provides insights for SLA, team viscosity during our sprint.

Workfront - Excellent Project Management Tool
Not sure if it has been used by most of the projects in my organization, but definitely a good choice for the project at the right time. It comes as an Adobe bundle for us with a lot of other beautiful Adobe tools. [I] have used many other tools similar to Workfront for managing projects and for tracking purpose[s], but [I] feel Workfront come[s] as one solution for all the things needed for a project; [whether] it is time tracking, the task assignment, or to track what all we have in the pipeline/backlog.

Work with your colleagues on project management
Many employees have created [a need for] more dynamic management. [With Workfront] good decisions are made because everything is in optimal control of tasks and projects, improving workflows and generating readable and well-structured reports.

We used Workfront as part of a client's project management system. They tracked and managed all digital projects (everything from email to website to social) and used it as a hub for collaboration and centralization between their business and all partner agencies involved. It was a good tool from this perspective because it allowed all partners involved in a particular project to stay up to date on project status, documents, timelines, etc. It served not only as a repository for all project documents but also a forum to discuss project milestones, dependencies, and updates. The centralization between companies and resources was great at mitigating siloed workflows, out of the loop team members, and disorganized project management.

Workfront will make your team more efficient
Workfront is being used across the whole organization. It helps us to keep our many projects on task, and for everyone involved in specific projects to see where they stand and the project stands as a whole. It is useful for communicating with coworkers in my department and outside my department.

Great functional and practical product
It is being used to track employee time on projects as well as analyze the burn on each project. We use the raw data export to manipulate into a table and mapped excel spreadsheet to present to the internal client team and higher management.

- People can still post time unless the other program Workfront is synced to is used to close the project/task.
Workfront was used as a project management routing system and to own the digital project management experience for the agency. The platform allowed for remote teams to work together to complete projects on time and on budget. Workfront was used to collect team feedback as assigned by the Project Manager to keep projects moving through the agency. Project Managers would create timelines within the system.

- Timeline creation and flexibility to communicate project steps with appropriate people in the way they want to receive notifications
- If agencies do not follow its' intended use, the platform can be overkill in features and complicated to use
- There are too many options for notifications to users and many of them do not fall into the "just right" category
- If Project Managers are not using the system as intended, run/timing reports are not accurate and makes it challenging to go back and make updates for the team and run reports for leadership.

Workfront for Mid Sized Agency
We utilize Workfront across our entire agency. We use it for time tracking, project management, creative reviews, resource management and project budget management. It has helped us centralize all business workflow data into a single system and forecast our resource needs for planning purposes. Every employee utilizes it every day.
