Overall Satisfaction with Workfront

Various departments within our organization utilize Workfront as a request system and project management system. Workfront allows us to use the system, to create, update, track and finalize requests that would have normally been submitted to departments via email. Making it a singular avenue to see all the happenings of any particular requests/project. One of the features I enjoy most is the updates that can be received by a single user or a team by utilizing the team functions. An email is sent to any user connected to the team or project and no person has to remember who to send any info to, the system does that for you as long as they are attached or part of that team. This reduces the possible issue of "forgetting" to include someone in an email or update. Adding documents and the approval process of said documents make collaborating easier for my needs. Updates on one page make it easy for any user to easily review a request and latest information. Overall the system provides what need it to and it is an excellent system for requests, projects and workflows are an area that can use improvement yet it is functional.
  • Requests work particularly well for us, updates and information in regards to a request are all in one place. Updates provided to all attached users/teams, documents, hours logged, it makes requests easy, pretty much a one stop shop.
  • Being able to pull reports on our requests and have custom fields that provide all the information we would need without having to go back and fourth in different programs makes it a breeze to provide information to management.
  • Projects, we would like to see more options when it comes to working with projects.
  • Workflows, I would like to see some dynamic workflows. Request A > flows to Request B. Without having to reenter information.
  • Overall I feel that I have greater satisfaction in my position because I no longer struggle to keep track of the information coming into me. Everything is in the request that I need and it makes completing my task faster and easier.
  • Productivity has been increased since there is no longer struggle to receive the information needed to complete our tasks. We have created forms that ask for all the information we need, even making some fields mandatory so we get EVERYTHING we need. No longer are we sent half the information.
  • Tracking and receiving updates is a breeze now, I no longer have to worry about someone not getting the information they need. They are simply attached to a request as an individual or in a team and get all the updates they need.
I would not know of any alternatives for WorkFront since I have not or do not need to actively search for any.
I cannot rave enough about the way we are now able to handle requests because of Workfront. It went from an archaic email system to Workfront where everything is in one place. No more having to weed through emails in order to find all the information I need to proceed with my job, it is all there in the form because I was able to easily customize the form to include all the information I needed. This has been a game changer for me.
