Workfront Review
Overall Satisfaction with Workfront
- Centralize projects in one solution
- Manage digital work processes
- Review and approve digital work
- Govern compliance workflows
Workfront helps to centralize our work processes and workflows into one location. Previously, our users were managing their work primarily through the use of spreadsheets. The move to Workfront has greatly improved visibility.
Pros
- Workfront handles high level project management very well.
- Workfront reporting works very well at pulling appropriate information from the system to help in managing work.
Cons
- The drag and drop functionality on the task view of projects is helpful, but when the page lags it tends to drag and reorder things unintentionally and there isn't an option to undo recent changes. This occasionally makes it very difficult to fix a project that was unintentionally reordered.
- Resource management works well for small to medium sized companies, but is not robust enough for enterprise work.
- My company is a non-profit, so ROI is hard to determine. However, it has greatly improved workflow management and visibility into work that is being done.
Internal collaboration has greatly increased with the use of Workfront. We have been able to see where projects were previously stalling due to lack of communication and collaboration and those issues have been decreased significantly. This is largely due to visibility and reporting available to resource managers.
