Overall Satisfaction with Workhuman

We use Workhuman to recognize and appreciate someone's work, attitude towards solving complex problems, insights, kindness, and overall positive impact on the product development side. The problems that we have in the industry is that a lot of work, if not mentioned, can go under the radar and that the real heroes are often left on the side and never receive the praise and awards for their work, which sometimes brings revolutionary changes to the project.
Workhuman allows me to appreciate a colleague, and show everyone how impactful and helpful that colleague has been, while awarding him too with something that can be felt - points that can be transferred to real awards. I believe this is a very useful tool which solves a large problem in our industry, and I will definitely continue using it.

Pros

  • Pinpoint the area in which we should award someone
  • Clear overview of my awards, and my given ones
  • A lot of cool and very useful rewards
  • Privacy/public option for applauding reviews

Cons

  • If I choose multiple people for awarding at once, I cannot award them differently, I must award them with the same award which is not really convenient
  • Happier employees
  • Employees stick longer and give their best to work harder and be better people
It is really very usable. I cannot find anything to complain about its usability. The UX is done perfectly. Even when I used it first, I figured my way around it really quickly. Now, I cannot remember if I had a 'user tutorial' first time I opened it, but if not, that would maybe be a place for improvement.
It gives a better insight, specially in large corporations, to see how their employees are doing in almost all fields: tech knowledge, field knowledge, people-relations, etc. It also can display what the culture is like in your organization - if there are little to none awards given, there might be an internal problem that a manager should pay attention to.

Do you think Workhuman delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Yes

Did Workhuman live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Workhuman go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Workhuman again?

Yes

Good experience:
Great for showing appreciation for someone's work. It really showcases dedication, and it can be a great 'public' profile to other team members if they ever wonder who are they working with.

Bad experience:
It can potentially be used as a not-so-truthful tool. People can mock good grades for each other just because of good personal relationship, but there are ways to check that too.
