Overall Satisfaction with Yext

We use Yext to manage our web listings across multiple platforms. Trying to manage all of the web listings individually is a major challenge. With Yext, we have the ability to manage these listing in one location. When we relocate one of our branches and need to update the physical address, we simply update the address in Yext, and the address change is pushed to the other platforms.

Pros

Cons

  • Making updates on the Google Business profiles through Yext seems challenging. I manage the Google Business updates directly on that platform and disable the push notifications for that service in Yext.
  • Consistency in business listing management - without Yext, we would surely have more inconsistencies with our business address across the web. This can lead to poor communication to our customers, and potentially lost business if we lose trust as a reputable business.
  • Yext saves me hours of legwork to manage numerous web listing platforms individually.
Yext was easy to set up, and the customer support has been responsive. Listing updates are made easily by updating a single listing, which Yext pushes to each of the web listings. The only challenge I have faces is with Google Business. I have not been able to effectively manage our Google profiles directly through Yext, so I had to disable this auto-management feature so I could manage my Google Business profiles separately.
Before Yext, I used Moz Local to manage our business listings. Moz Local had fewer listing platforms included with their service. For example, Moz Local did not include Yahoo, and we had issues with inconsistent Yahoo listings. We ultimately switched to Yext and it's been a good fit for us.

We have multiple branch locations throughout our market area. It's very challenging to manage the web listings for each location, with a large volume of listings across numerous platforms for each of those locations. Yext significantly reduces the workload by allowing me to make a single update and Yext automatically pushes the notifications across the other platforms.
