Overall Satisfaction with Zenefits

We're using Zenefits to manage all our employee information from hiring, time off, payroll, through the process of termination. Zenefits integrates really well with our applicant tracking system too, so that makes for seamless processes of selection and recruiting. Zenefits solves several key issues of information available for our managers and forth the members of our team to connect with one another: contact info, PTO schedules, and approvals.

Pros

Cons

  • A few things about setting up payroll have been a bit glitchy, notably the inability to record a permanent as well as a work mailing address for some employees.

  • Simple hiring and employee documentation
  • Great ROI. It replaced a system (no system) which was free but messy and hard to organize. Zenefits has been worth it for our small HR department.
The only direct competitor for Zenefits I looked at was ADP Resource and found that Zenefits was easier to start with and more cost-effective for our needs.

It's great for keeping current employee information accurate and available. And I'm in the middle of deploying the payroll and time to track features, so I'm hopeful it'll be very well suited for those features too. The simplicity of exporting a calendar feed of everyone's PTO for my department makes for great visibility about our team schedules.

Using Zenefits

1 - It's real easy to help my team use Zenefits. No special skills required.

The fact that it was free to start was the biggest factor that made it easy get to work with the platform and find out how well it worked for our team. And the non profit rate made it easy for us to continue with Zenefits as we grew and needed to unlock more features.
I might think about starting with Zenefits' payroll and time and attendance, which didn't exist when we started with Zenefits a few years ago.

Zenefits Support

I can see room for improvement, particularly in seamless ticket transition from a chat interface to a phone call to email support, but all three options works.
